Do you have a firewall? It’s possible that Adobe is trying to find out if there’s updates online for it to download and install when you start up the application. If the firewall thinks Adobe is trying to do something naughty like that, many firewalls will cut the internet connection to prevent mishaps from happening. So I would check your firewall settings in regards to Adobe first. Or, try to see if Adobe is pulling any auto-updates behind the scenes and stop that from happening. I take it you’re using a legit copy and not pirated right???

I’m really good with computers and I can tell you that it is not a virus but it MIGHT be a virus in the making.
